Our Evangelist
Robbie (Rob) Miller was born in Oregon. He was the fourth of five children raised by David and Linda. He grew up with their care, guidance, and the teaching of the scriptures. He became a baptized member into the Lord’s church while attending the Tualatin Church of Christ in Oregon. Growing up Rob he traveled with his father to many small congregations (around the Oregon and Washington state area) as a guest speaker for those who could not afford a preacher and he continued this practice all his life. Unsatisfied with the surroundings of the public school system he paid his own way through private high school at West Side Christian to then go onto Cascade College receiving a Bachelors in Business and Christian Studies and concluded his secular education at Abilene Christian with a Masters in Organizational Development and Human Resources. After graduating in Texas, he returned home to Oregon where he met his wife Christian Joy. Followed their marriage they were with the blessing of their three children. Rob and his family have had many adventures as Rob took many jobs in the sales and customer service industry having them make multiple moves across country (to such states as Georgia and Wyoming). During a recession Rob struggled to obtain full time work and even struggled with unemployment for over a year. This time of trial made Rob consider changing his career from sales to a full-time preacher (verses being the guest speaker he had known). He always planned to preach during his retirment years and felt he was being guided to start this journey sooner in his life rather than later. He was blessed with his first FULL-time paid preaching position at Ashley Heights Church of Christ in South Carolina for many years; after some conregational changes in South Carolina Rob then continued his preaching duties at West End Church of Christ in Virginia. Years later, an opportunity to live closer to his in-laws became available and now works here with Englewood church of Christ in Ohio. All these experiences have help him grow into what it means to be a full-time gospel speaker. He has found the work rewarding and feels blessed in the way the Lord has had a hand in his life. He looks forward to continued growth and knowledge and sharing and welcoming others to the family of Christ.
